A combination of electrostatic separation systems remove rubber and flexible PVC gaskets as highly concentrated reject fractions, the company explains. Dust, wood, ferrous and non-ferrous particles and other contamination are separated from granulated rigid PVC as well.

Manufacturers can now bend vinyl and aluminum extrusions with one machine, the supplier states. Distributed by J&S Machine, the entire range of 3C Clomea bending machines can be supplied with heating elements, an electrical panel, and control console that enable the units to handle PVC. The control console allows the user to manage the air emission of the heaters and keep a consistent temperature during the bending process. Custom rollers are designed with high precision for each profile to minimize deformation of the work piece, the company states.

The provider of automated positioning systems for cutting and drilling applications demonstrated its Auto List cut list processing software. An option available on RazorGage products ranging from its Tablet PC-based automated stop through the fully-automated AutoPusher Saw System, the software can accept .CSV formatted output files produced on software from companies such as GDS, Athena, DeMichele Group and Optimumcut, the supplier explains. Display cut lists are displayed on the operator's touch screen after different materials are automatically sorted and organized. In addition, the software can either optimize a cutting solution by extrusion or facilitate cutting the pre-optimized solution to increase yields.
The company also showed its Android tablet-based entry level positioner designed to make operator entry of dimensions fast and simple for companies that do not have downloadable cut or drill list data.

Recent introductions to the Stürtz Machinery line highlighted in Las Vegas included the Model SMI-MC-H-2K-3D Automated Twin Head Corner Cleaning System. Long a staple in the automated segment of the supplier's line, the line provides capacity for more than 500 welded and cleaned squares in an eight-hour shift with just a single operator, it reports. With many standard cleaning tools, the base machine will clean most typical North American frame and sash profiles. Custom knives are available for slopes, bevels and radii. Programming is said to be intuitive and utilizes visual data to make the addition of new products a simple procedure. Maintenance software includes downtime alerts and reporting, preventative maintenance reminders and seamless remote diagnostics and upgrades.

The LinearPro fabrication saw features a high speed, linear motor driven feed system and can be outfitted for different cut configurations for sash, pocket sill or sloped sill requirements. The feed system eliminates backlash and provides accurate, repeatable tolerances not available in any other fabrication system on the market, the supplier notes. Custom fabrication requirements can be accommodated with fixed tools or with the Stürtz Flying Bridge. Unique maintenance features such as tilting tool carriages and laser tool breakage sensors with software interlocks are available on all machines in this series.
