Tap, tap, tap....is this thing on? Not a whole lot in the way of responses to my email inbox this week, though I do appreciate you weighing in on the primary source of your training with our poll. It seems the majority of respondents look to their manufacturers and/or vendors as the primary source of their continuing education and training. It's the traditional model for our industry, and I'm not particularly surprised that training is an important part of the value-add relationship among supply chain partners.
So let's do this....let me throw out a follow-up question or two and give you another chance to reach out on this Talk topic. Tell me a little bit about the nature of the training relationship with your manufacturers/suppliers, if you have a few minutes. Do they primarily stick to product training or do they offer you marketing and business operations training as well? Do they cover all the topics on which you're seeking training, and do you feel like you can make special requests if they don't offer what you need?
Please consider sending me an email to tell me a little bit about the nature of the training relationship you have with your manufacturers and suppliers. Maybe I'll share some feedback in a future Talk topic.
