A Great Day to be a Dealer?
October 7, 2009
Survey Results for 10/07/2009:
I think the new window and door dealer group is:
Not really necessary, as other associations can serve their needs.
Potentially positive, and I'll continue to watch it.
Not sure yet.
A good idea, and I plan to get involved.
We have some mixed feelings about the new dealer association, and some are understandably waiting to see how things progress before casting their vote. About 30 percent of respondents consider the move by NGA to be either positive or potentially positive, and another 15 percent say they're just not sure.
A slight majority contends that the alliance isn't really necessary, though I didn't receive any feedback from readers about why they voted this way. I'm still more than open to hearing this feedback, so take a moment to drop a line.
Some positive feedback came from one reader, who writes:
"I think the new Alliance is a great idea. Their plans for educational programs is greatly needed in the window and door industry. The other associations look down at vinyl and preferences are always given to wood. Educational efforts, presentations and training will greatly help the industry. The greatest need is in the lumberyard channel."
