Survey Results for 09/30/2009:
My primary game plan for GlassBuild America is:
To pass on this year's event to keep costs down.
To pass, as it's not a relevant show for us to attend.
To actively shop for new products and ideas
To go and stay engaged with industry, but unlikely to purchase
To promote and sell my company's products.
To browse what's new, with eventual purchases likely.
Oh my! I'm going to declare this poll officially skewed. My goal was to find out why folks were heading to GlassBuild America last week and a full three-quarters of respondents didn't even attend. Further, asking this question as people boarded planes and made their way to Atlanta probably put the people-who-didn't-go category to an unfair voting advantage. Next year I'll set up absentee voting procedures.
For what it's worth, the voters who did go to GlassBuild America are evenly split among those who were selling, those who were buying and those who were browsing. Given tight travel budgets and continued sluggishness in the economy, the turnout in Atlanta was surprisingly good. To read the full report, click here.
