Huttig Building Products, the distributor of millwork and building products for residential construction and remodeling, has selected TDCI’s BuyDesign Product Configurator and Guided Selling software to provide online quoting and ordering of both exterior and interior pre-hung door systems. The Web-based solution will be made available to Huttig’s national network of dealers.

“We selected BuyDesign as the basis for our new door quoting system because it will enable us to quickly deploy a robust Web-based solution that is already proven in the window and door industry,” says Brian Robinson, Huttig CIO. “We were also impressed with TDCI’s industry knowledge and willingness to work closely with us on our implementation and deployment.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Huttig Building Products as a new BuyDesign user,” notes Dan DeMuth, TDCI president. “We are proud to have some of the nation’s leading window and door manufacturers, distributors, and dealers within our BuyDesign customer community.”

Other leading window and door companies using BuyDesign include Atrium Windows & Doors, Ben-Bilt, Ceco Door, Eggers Industries, Moss Supply, Quaker Windows, Thermo-Tech Windows, Therma-Tru Doors, and many others, the supplier reports.

Developed to streamline the sales process for customized products, BuyDesign helps companies that manufacture products with a wide range of features, options, and dimensions increase sales by becoming "easy to do business with" while at the same time reducing order processing time, cost, and errors, TDCI states. Huttig, which serves dealers in 41 states through 27 distribution centers, will use the BuyDesign Channel Sales quoting and ordering application along with the BuyDesign product configurator, it notes.
