OSI Offering Installation Training Online

A new virtual training program has been launched by Henkel North America, manufacturer of OSI sealants. As an online window certification program, it trains installers to successfully use the supplier's methods and materials, while offering a 15-year warranty on new construction installations upon course completion, officials state.

The OSI WinTeq program offers installers a convenient and flexible option, taking only a few hours to complete, it is noted.  It is designed to complement the sealant supplier's in-field training and certification programs.

The online program was developed in conjunction with Gene Summy of TLS Laboratories.  The OSI training blends Summy’s window knowledge with enhanced AAMA and ASTM methods, educating installers how to improve energy efficiency for commercial and residential units, according to the supplier.

“We’ve had such a success with our in-person group training sessions that we decided to pursue an additional option for our certification program,” says Matt Canning, director of marketing for Henkel OSI’s brand. "Now, window and door professionals can receive training as their schedule permits while having the chance to qualify for a 15-year warranty on their new construction installations.”
