Simonswerk Opens U.S. Facility
Hinge manufacturer Simonswerk is continuing its international expansion by establishing a new subsidiary in Whitewater, Wis. The 120-year-old German company produces heavy-duty, high-performance and premium adjustable hinges and has produced hinge systems, serving more than 60 international markets with representation in 19 countries, the company reports.

The new North American headquarters and distribution center in Wisconsin, expected to be fully operational this month, is being headed up by Rudy Kessler, CEO. “Simonswerk takes pride in their modern, high quality products, which made their success and this expansion possible," he states. "We are very excited about this move.”
Simonswerk already has a presence in the North American marketplace, notes Kessler, who previously was involved in sales with Hoppe North America and Winkhaus North America. During the course of the last three decades, the company has supplied adjustable hinges to many patio door manufacturers, including Eagle, Jeld-Wen, Kolbe, Loewen, Marvin, and Weather Shield.
With the new Simonswerk North America subsidiary, U.S. and Canadian manufacturers can now purchase the Ultimate and Millenium hinges directly from the supplier, he states. In addition, Simonswerk will be carrying its Siku surface-mounted hinge series that fit European vinyl profiles from Rehau, Veka and others; the adjustable Siku RB door hinge that provides the appearance of a more traditional hinge; and the Tectus 3D fully-concealed hinge that allows a door to be fully integrated within a wall.
With additional subsidiaries in the UK, Russia, and Poland, Simonswerk generates annual sales of about $100 million with approximately 500 employees around the world.
