Charlotte, North Carolina-based Jeld-Wen will close its Yakima, Washington, plant in April to “build efficiencies under a revised business plan,” as reported by the Yakima Herald. The company reportedly has a plan in place to move the 179 employees to other facilities or provide outplacement services for those who will need to seek new employment. Jeld-Wen has had a presence in Yakima since 1987.
