Registration and Ballots Open for NFRC Spring Committee Hybrid Meeting

The National Fenestration Rating Council will be hosting an in-person meeting for the first time in two years. The Spring Committee Meeting, March 21-23, will be held in Philadelphia, and will also include a virtual option.

“It has been too long since most of us have felt comfortable gathering in groups. As NFRC investigated meeting in person again, it seemed like kismet to welcome everyone back in the city named for brotherly love,” says Deb Callahan, NFRC CEO. “Not everyone is comfortable traveling or risking exposure yet, however, and we want to make sure all who are interested in participating in NFRC have an opportunity to do so. This will be NFRC’s first hybrid meeting, and we look forward to delivering for both in-person and virtual attendees.”

The Spring Committee Meeting will include:

  • Green Building Tour presented by the Sustainability Network. This will include a tour of some local projects by Onion Flats, an architecture firm with a passion for cost-effective, climate-resilient, healthy buildings and communities.
  • Networking, including through a welcome happy hour, member reception, networking lunch and breaks throughout the meeting.
  • Committee Block Meetings. In addition to the technical committee block meetings, there will be a session dedicated to relevant technical topics where attendees can learn and contribute to small groups discussions.
  • Women in Fenestration Network Breakfast. Join NFRC’s CEO, Deb Callahan, and other attendees at a breakfast to meet women leaders in the industry and talk about opportunities, challenges, and ways that women can support one another in the industry.

Virtual attendees, who are members in good standing, can still participate and vote on ballots that will shape the fenestration industry moving forward. Online attendance will count for committee quorum and roster.

Register to attend and review additional information, including the draft schedule, on the NFRC website.

Ballots presented at the Spring Committee Meeting will be open for review and comment from Feb. 4-24. The nine ballots may be accessed on the NFRC Community Ballots page.

Hotel registration is open with discounted rates at the Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square, 1800 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.

The NFRC will be following local, state and federal guidelines for COVID-19 safety. See more details on vaccination requirements, testing and face covering requirements.
