Three Companies Acquire Portions of Energi Fenestration Solutions

The acquisition of Energi Fenestration Solutions is complete, with three companies having acquired various portions of the business.

The Vision Group of Companies completed the acquisition of Energi Fenestration Solutions, effective May 17. In a letter to employees from Vic De Zen, CEO and chairman of Vision, said: "This is an important and exciting day for both of our organizations and one that will position us for greater growth, as well as ensure that we remain a highly competitive global company for years to come. Together we will protect and build our customer relationships by consistently delivering the outstanding service and quality products expected from us."

De Zen said the integration will be complete in "the coming months" and will enable the company to maximize its manufacturing, purchasing and human resources.

The Novatech Group acquired Energi Terrebone Patio Doors. The aquisition increases Novatech's patio door manufacturing capability and becomes the sixth plant within the product family. Effective immediately, the current Novatech sales force will be responsible for patio door sales out of Terrebone; the customer service team in Terrebone will remain in place. Novatech plans to make "significant investments in the coming months" at the Terrebone facility, according to a statement.

Harold Savard, president and CEO of the Novatech Group, said, "We are delighted to welcome Energi’s patio doors team to the Novatech Group family. Their expertise, combined with that of our current teams, will complement our plants in Ste-Julie, Beauceville, Calgary and Martinsville. Synergies generated by the pooling of our activities will ensure the success of this acquisition."

Finally, Michael McCullough, Jean Marois and Martin Boulanger have acquired the Energi Laval Extrusion plant and renamed it Thermoplast Extrusions. The transaction is effective immediately and the entire team will remain in place.

"With all the decisions now be taken locally, we are best-positioned to continue, as the industry leader in Quebec and Maritimes market, in developing and providing high-quality, innovative products with a superior customer value proposition," says Marois, partner and vice president sales & engineering.
