Vertical laminator

Walco VX2 is a vertical laminator designed specifically for the application of protective film on insulating glass units and flat glass. Fully automated, the VX2 uses technology that allows the application of protective film on both sides of the glass in a single pass because of its automated adjustment system. Equipped with intelligent technology, it is automatically adjusted to the length and height of glass up to 3,000 millimeters.

Protective films ensure product cleanliness from factory to finish, reducing potential for damage during manufacturing, and end-of-job cleaning time and costs. The PDS ProFilm System features auto measuring technology and can film more than 1,500 operating-size units per shift. No film trimming is required. A variety of module sizes and film widths are available.

The static cutting table can process materials like nylon and vinyl as well as difficult-to-cut materials—such as polystrand, p-tex and fiberglass-polyester blends. The system’s high-precision configuration features multi-axis motion for more defined and accurate cuts. Material is spread across the static table by an operator or with the use of a pneumatic gripper bar.
