ClimaGuard 70 glass is part of Guardian’s effort to deliver new high-performing products that offer advanced coating solutions in anticipation of codes such as Energy Star Version 7.0 and International Energy Conservation Code 2021 that drive energy conservation in residential buildings. It has a visible light transmission of 69 percent and solar heat gain of 0.35 and its center-of-glass 0.24 U-factor aims to help homes manage solar heat in warmer months and provide thermal insulation in cooler months.

Warm-edge spacer

H.B. Fuller’s Ködispace 4SG warm-edge spacer system is a solution for both commercial and residential applications. The product’s formulation chemically bonds to glass and silicone secondary sealant. There is no spacer migration, and it has a higher temperature stability than standard insulating glass with polyisobutylene, in addition to an increased resistance to incompatible glazing conditions, say officials. The product is currently the only reactive thermoplastic spacer system available, officials say.

Foam spacer

A flexible, silicone foam spacer product, Super Spacer provides the maximum perimeter insulation for sealed glazing units and prevents condensation. Desiccant-filled with pre-applied side adhesive, the structural foam spacer significantly simplifies insulating glass production, say officials. Featuring a vapor barrier backing, the product must be used in combination with conventional IG sealants such as hot melt butyl, polyurethane and solvent-free polysulfide. Dual seal equivalent sealants may also be used.
