Awake Window & Door Co. unveiled its new 555 Series Pivot Door. Its features include a maximum panel size of 96” x 144” (96 sq ft.), jamb depths as small as 4.5”, three sill types, multiple handle options, and the ability to insert or mull it within the existing product family. Requests for the pivot door included integrating the overhead closer mechanism, creating an unrestricted pivot point assembly, and providing minimal sightlines for maximum views. Awake named this product the “Series 555 Pivot Door” to represent the over 555,000 people who are locked up on a daily basis in the U.S. who have not been convicted of a crime, but are simply imprisoned because they cannot afford cash bail.

Simpson expanded its Redi-Prime collection of interior doors to include clipped corner doors, in which the top corner of a door ships pre-cut at an angle for a custom fit. The doors are constructed of MDF veneers on classic stile and rail surfaces and are factory double-primed and sanded.
