ClearSecure Distribution & Manufacturing, a Munro Group Company, announced it has achieved IGCC and IGMAC Certifications.
About the certifications
Supported by the Insulated Glass Certification Council (IGCC), IGCC/IGMA is the American third-party sponsor of the US-administered IGCC Certification program, which provides for the certification of sealed insulating glass for seal durability per ASTM E 2190 “Standard Specification for Insulating Glass Unit Performance and Evaluation” and for Gas Content Initial and After Weathering.
The Canadian equivalent to IGCC is the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Association of Canada (IGMAC), which is championed by the Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA). IGMAC recognizes the need for regular and impartial product testing, maintenance of quality control in the manufacturing process and identification of products that conform to these criteria. The minimum standard of performance required for participation in the Certification Program is the highest level of the National Standard of Canada CAN/CGSB 12.8, latest issue.
Both IGCC and IGMAC required full plant assembly line visits, process audits, and fully compliant quality control systems, which ClearSecure facilitated throughout the rigorous certification processes.
RockGlass is an optically clear, impact resistant, abrasion resistant product that replaces traditional glass. It is ideal for applications such as enclosures for heavy machinery and glass for residential and commercial properties that are traditionally targeted by vandals or unwanted intruders.
