Aluminum Extrusion Industry Opens 2027 Rick Merluzzi Design Competition

Organizers have opened entries for the 2027 Rick Merluzzi Aluminum Extrusion Professional Design Competition, which recognizes products, components, systems, or assemblies that incorporate at least one extruded aluminum profile.

The competition is open to both individual designers and companies, and organizers are encouraging aluminum extruders to partner with their customers to submit entries that highlight the versatility and benefits of aluminum extrusion.

A total of $13,500 in cash awards will be distributed, including a $3,500 grand prize for the best overall design. Additional $2,500 first-place awards will be given in four categories: Architectural/Structural, Transportation, Engineered/Industrial Products, and Alternative Energy.
