Chelsea Building Products Opens New Facility

Chelsea Building Products, an Oakmont, Pennsylvania-based vinyl extruder and building-product component manufacturer with more than 50 years in the region, celebrated the grand opening of its new 228,000 square-foot facility in Madison, Pennsylvania. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by employees, customers, elected officials and business leaders, including Peter Dewil, CEO of Chelsea Building Products; Gary Hartman, vice president of Chelsea Building Products; and Dan DeBone, president and CEO of the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce, along with ownership and management from aluplast group.

Expansion details

The new facility, being called Chelsea Building Products East, represents an investment in advanced manufacturing technology, regional job creation and the continued growth of the greater Pittsburgh-area economy. Strategically located with access to major transportation corridors, the facility is designed to enhance production efficiency and strengthen the company’s ability to serve customers across North America.

The Madison facility will support the company’s expanding manufacturing operations by extruding PVC-based
window and door profiles, while also housing blending and lamination operations. This blending facility will supply proprietary PVC compounds to both Chelsea Building Products East and its sister operation in Greenville, Texas, further integrating the company’s production network.
