Crystal Window & Door Systems has released a new vinyl window line, the Series 800. The single-hung window family is available in dark finish options.
Available in single-hung, 2- and 3-lite slider, fixed/picture, and hopper styles, with ratings up to DP-50, the Crystal Series 800 is intended for residential and light commercial new construction, addition, and rehabilitation projects. The window line complies with the federal Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act for domestic sourcing of components and materials.
The Crystal Series 800 is also available in FusionCore capstock co-extruded black or bronze finishes.
"Owners of modern homes across the nation are increasingly seeking black finish windows to complement their house design," says Midwest Regional Sales Manager Frank Ganninger. "Crystal's FusionCore finish options, with a 10-year warranty, address that."
The Crystal Series 800 windows feature fusion-welded multi-chamber sashes and frames, 2-⅞ inches jamb depth and integral 1-¼ inches nailing fin. The single-hung models offer a tilt-in bottom sash, constant force coil balances, continuous lift rail, and triple-seal weatherstripping at the sloped sill. Maximum sizes for the single-hung are 48 inches x 84 inches for equal top and bottom sashes and 48 inches x 96 inches for single-hung oriel configurations. The Series 800 single-hung is structurally rated R-PG50/LC-PG35 and thermally rated as low as U=0.25 with appropriate glazing options.
A master frame with intermediate jamb option facilitates twin and triple combinations of single-hung and fixed/picture windows for jobsite installation.

The Series 800 slider window has removable sashes and comes in both 2- and 3-lite models. The sliding window is rated R-PG30 with U-values as low as 0.24. The structural rating for the fixed/picture window model is LC-PG50, with U-values as low as 0.22.
The Crystal Series 800 windows have a ¾ inches glazing pocket which can accept standard double-glass IGUs or optional triple-glass units. Options include low-E glass coatings and argon gas filling.
The Series 800 vinyl window line also offers FusionCore dark finishes. FusionCore, a capstock finish, is available on the Series 800 frames in black or bronze. The finish is designed for durability, color retention, and weather resistance. The FusionCore technology features UV resistance, reduced fading, warping, and surface wear, and is intended for low maintenance and long-term performance.
FusionCore finishes are offered in two options: basic FusionCore provides a co-extruded two-tone finish with a capstock black (or bronze) exterior and a white interior. FusionCore Max provides a mono-tone co-extruded capstock dark finish on both the interior and exterior window frame surfaces. Both finish options are warrantied for 10 years. The standard finish for the Series 800 windows is an extruded white. Other extruded color choices, beige and clay, are coming soon.
The Series 800 operating windows may be optionally fitted with ½ screens, sash vent locks, an ADA meeting rail lock option, and window opening limit stops. All the Series 800 offer between-the-glass and exterior applied grid options.
Exterior installation accessories include snap-on brick mould, flush fin, and Florida flange. Snap-on interior drywall return and extension jamb liner clip accessories are available for finishing the window interior opening.
"The new Series 800 vinyl window line is proving popular with our builder, distributor, and fenestration installation customers," says Ganninger. "This window line offers the quality and energy efficiency for today's new homes, with the styling designers and owners want."
