Heartland Windows is acquired by James Leopold, who will take the role of President and CEO. Leopold, a St. Louis-based investor, has acquired Heartland Windows, including its 80,000-square-foot facility on 15 acres in the Waterloo, Iowa area, in a multimillion-dollar transaction.
About Leopold
At 33, Leopold is believed to be the youngest window manufacturing CEO in the nation, according to Heartland. His path to the industry spans finance, real estate, manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation, with his first business investment made at 19 years old.
Before getting into the window business, Leopold was advising on industrial real estate warehouse projects and running a warehouse and trucking company. Most recently, he grew gross revenue 40% in 24 months at a Missouri-based window company.
Founded in 1993, Heartland Windows has produced up to 80,000 windows annually.
