NFRC Fall Membership Meeting Coming Up

The National Fenestration Rating Council’s Fall Membership Meeting will be held Oct. 24 to 26, 2022, at the Catamaran Resort, in San Diego. With one month left before arrival in San Diego, NFRC is sharing the draft schedule and announcing what attendees can look forward to at the meeting.

“I look forward to the opportunity to get out to San Diego, to see the sun and sea before we move into the Fall and Winter seasons,” says NFRC CEO Deb Callahan. “I’m also looking forward to closing out this productive year for the organization and our stakeholders with another fruitful meeting. I hope you will join us to usher 2022 out on a high note.”

What to expect

In addition to the usual business of the meeting, which will include discussion and deliberation on 16 ballots, updates on work being conducted by various task groups, and committee updates, NFRC will also be continuing the emerging technology series. The Women in Fenestration group will also meet again with a breakfast networking event and conversation.

Each year, NFRC staff also looks forward to recognizing Board members who are completing their service to the organization, as well as to members who have been nominated for the Dariush Arasteh Memorial Member of the Year award and the Emerging Leader award.

The continuation of the popular emerging technology series will include a lunch with a discussion from university students presenting research being conducted on fenestration products; how NFRC can prepare for these new technologies; a panel with representatives from national laboratories, each explaining the projects being conducted at the various facilities; and a panel on the opportunities and challenges with bringing emerging technologies to the market.

“On behalf of the NFRC I’d like to take the opportunity to invite you to golf with us in San Diego,” says NFRC Board Chair John Gordon. “This year, we will be holding a golf outing on Sunday, Oct. 23 to encourage our members and staff to spend some time together enjoying the beauty of Southern California away from a meeting room.”
