Pella Acquires Weather Shield

Pella Corp. announced the acquisition of Weather Shield, a manufacturer of architectural wood and aluminum window and door solutions based in Medford, Wisconsin.

By joining the Pella family of brands, both companies are positioned for accelerated growth, aiming to offer expanded capabilities and more value to customers in the future, say company officials.

Pella acquired aluminum window and door manufacturer Lawson Industries in 2023 as part of a strategic move to bolster the company's reach in Florida. Pella celebrated its 100th anniversary of being in business this February.

What the company leaders say

"With 70 years of experience in the window and door industry, Weather Shield has demonstrated an outstanding understanding of architectural design and consistently delivers on quality and customer expectations," says Tim Yaggi, chief executive officer of Pella Corp. "Their reputation for innovation and precision engineering makes them a natural strategic fit. Together, we'll build on our complementary strengths to create even more compelling solutions for the customers we serve."

"We are thrilled to join the Pella family," says Bob Foote, vice president, Architectural Business and president of Weather Shield. "This partnership represents a powerful strategic and cultural alignment that will allow our people and our business to thrive. Pella Corporation's century-long legacy of market leadership, operational excellence, and customer-first mindset makes them the ideal partner for our next chapter."
