Pella Corporation Named to Forbes' Best-In-State Employer List

For the second year in a row, Forbes has named window and door manufacturer, Pella Corporation, among the 2023 Best-In-State Employers List. This accolade is the latest Pella has earned as an employer, following recognition earlier this year as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces by Newsweek.

What Pella says

"Our continued ranking as a top employer reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a culture that prioritizes the well-being of our team,” says John Bollman, chief human resources officer, Pella Corporation. “We strive to create an environment where everyone finds purpose in their work, feels valued, and can reach their full potential. It's this focus that drives our company forward and makes Pella a great place to work.”

Pella as an employer

Pella employs more than 10,000 employees nationwide with over 4,100 residing in Iowa, operating across multiple locations, including its headquarters in Pella, Iowa and manufacturing facilities in Sioux Center, Carroll, Shenandoah, and Pella. The company’s average team member tenure is 11 years.

Pella attributes this retention to their caring culture, which includes a focus on career development for every team member and competitive benefits like nine paid holidays, vacation, sick leave and flexible work arrangements. Benefits also include retirement savings through a 401(k) Savings Plan providing a company match.

Pella was also recognized by Newsweek on both its America's Greatest Workplaces and America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity lists. The company was also named a 2023 World’s Most Innovative Company by Fast Company for its innovative approach to improving productivity and enhancing workplace wellness.
