Renewal by Andersen Houston Marks 20 Years, Announces South Texas Expansion

Renewal by Andersen Houston, a family-owned company based in Tomball, Texas, is celebrating 20 years of serving homeowners across Greater Houston. The business traces its roots to a home improvement company founded by Phil and Rosemary Birner in the 1960s.

Their son, Bob Birner, joined the family business after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and later led its transition to Renewal by Andersen Houston in 2006. He has since founded The BORO Group, which now operates Renewal by Andersen businesses in Houston, Kansas City, Central Missouri, El Paso and Greater New Mexico.

The Houston operation has grown from 10 employees to 175, and from $1.8 million in revenue in its first full year to a projected $60 million in 2026. Across all markets, The BORO Group expects to surpass $200 million in revenue this year.

The company plans to launch Renewal by Andersen Corpus Christi in the first quarter of 2027, with a territory eventually reaching Victoria, Laredo and South Padre Island.

“The coastal environment puts a premium on the quality and performance of a home’s windows and doors,” says Birner. “Our approach is to understand what makes each market unique and build the business around the needs of the communities we serve.”

The company offers products suited to the Gulf Coast climate, including its Acclaim® Coastal Impact windows, built to withstand high winds and tropical storms. It also supports the American Cancer Society and Camp Hope, a program serving veterans and their families.
