Roto Introduces Concealed Hinge for Aluminum Doors

Roto Solid C

Roto is meeting rising demand for aluminum doors with clean lines and concealed hinges with the Roto Solid C concealed hinge for aluminum doors up to 308 pounds. New videos from Roto Window and Door Technology demonstrate how efficient installation and adjustment are, which is particularly helpful for installers who aren’t accustomed to working with concealed door hinges.

The FixClick function is an example of this efficient installation in action. Instead of mounting the leaves with screws, a single click fixes the leaf in place, aided by locking wedges secured in the frame hinge.

Height adjustment is also simple within a +4 / -2 millimeter range via a central adjustment point on the lower door hinge. This is a standard component that is installed below the three door hinges. Two other adjustment options are offered in the form of ±3 mm lateral adjustment and ±1 mm gasket compression adjustment.

The Solid turn restrictor limits the opening to an adjustable position up to 125 degrees, prevents the door from being pulled open too forcefully, and dampens the end stop. The turn restrictor is nearly concealed as well, with the subtle rotating arm visible in the upper corner when the door is open.

Solid C concealed hinges come in black and silver, while the turn restrictor is available in black and polished stainless steel. The black components seamlessly blend into the increasingly popular all-black systems, and the stainless steel turn restrictor is the #perfectmatch for stainless steel handles, decorative covers, and the Solid C concealed hinges in silver.

Overall, the Solid C concealed hinges have been tested to over 400,000 opening cycles for maximum durability and achieve a high level of corrosion resistance. The maximum opening angle is 110 degrees. The right-hand and left-hand sides of the Solid C are symmetrical, so only a few parts need to be kept in stock.

The door hinges and turn restrictor achieve corrosion resistance, making aluminum doors equipped with these components suitable for extreme outdoor conditions.
