Typar FlangeFlash is designed for flashing non-flanged doors and windows, forming a permanent mechanical bond between the window or door frame and the exterior wall. It simplifies this critical detail and provides a verifiable air and water barrier. This double-sided, self-sealing flashing tape combines the strength of Typar Commercial building wrap with an all-temperature adhesive. It provides 12 months of UV resistance and a wide application temperature range from 0° to 180°F/-17° to 82°C, allowing year-round installation. Typar FlangeFlash adheres to AAMA standard 711-13 for flashing tapes and requires no additional primers or adhesives.
FlangeFlash includes an easy-release liner to speed up installation and features clear adhesive to eliminate messy residue. Its construction enhances nail sealability while ensuring protection against air and moisture infiltration. FlangeFlash is covered under Typar’s lifetime limited warranty when installed as part of the complete Typar Weather Protection System.
