TYPAR, a provider of high-performance building wrap, construction tape, flashing and accessories, announced the launch of TYPAR F.A.S.T. Flashing and Sheathing Tape. TYPAR F.A.S.T. is a multipurpose accessory for a range of jobsite applications. It is the newest addition to the company's Weather Protection System.
TYPAR F.A.S.T. can be used for seaming sheathing boards, flashing windows and doors, sealing wall penetrations, finishing the bottom of walls or serving as joist tape in decking applications. Its acrylic adhesive works over a wider temperature range than butyl alternatives and has a 12-month UV resistance rating.
"TYPAR F.A.S.T. is engineered with performance in mind while giving builders and contractors a more cost-effective option across multiple applications," says Vipul Padman, senior product line manager.
TYPAR F.A.S.T. is the company's first flashing product offered without a release liner. Its self-wound rolls come in 3", 4", and 6" widths, eliminating the step of removing a liner and reducing jobsite waste. Linered options are also available, in 4", 6", 9", and 12" widths.
TYPAR F.A.S.T. is priced to be a lower-cost option for distributors, dealers, builders and contractors. Its acrylic adhesive is intended to outperform butyl alternatives in adhesion strength, temperature range and long-term UV stability.
