West Shore Home Acquires Wonder Windows, Showers & Baths

West Shore Home, a home remodeling company, has acquired Wonder Windows, Showers & Baths, a second-generation, family-owned and operated home improvement company headquartered in Rochester, New York, with additional locations in Buffalo and Syracuse. The acquisition, which includes two affiliated New York companies —BSL Direct Sales, Inc., Wonder Windows and Wonder Showers & Baths, Inc. — extends West Shore Home’s operations into two of upstate New York’s largest metro areas and adds more than 50 team members spanning sales, installation, and operations.

Founded in 1962 by Arthur Lazeroff, Wonder Windows, Showers & Baths has spent more than six decades working with homeowners across Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse. The company, led today by Arthur’s son, Mark Lazeroff, and his business partner Michael Haymes, provides replacement windows and doors alongside shower and bath remodeling services. With both owners retiring following the transaction, West Shore Home will carry the brand’s legacy forward while bringing its scale, technology, and installation model to Western and Central New York.

Rochester and Buffalo are New York’s second- and third-largest metro areas, home to more than 2 million combined residents and some of the oldest owner-occupied housing stock in the country. That aging inventory drives consistent demand for the replacement windows, doors, and bath remodeling services West Shore Home delivers.

“Wonder Windows, Showers & Baths has been the trusted name in home improvement across Western and Central New York, and we’re proud to build on that foundation,” says B.J. Werzyn, founder and CEO of West Shore Home. “This market has the housing profile, the customer base, and now the local team to grow with us. We’re eager to bring our technology and installation model to the homeowners these teams already know and serve.”

West Shore Home plans to transition the Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse locations to its brand and operating model, consistent with prior acquisitions. Wonder’s management team will remain in place to guide the business and anchor growth across the region.

What people are saying

“My father started this company more than 60 years ago with a simple commitment to doing right by the homeowner, and that’s exactly what West Shore Home does at a national scale,” says Mark Lazeroff, owner and president of BSL Direct Sales, Inc. “Knowing our team and our customers are in good hands makes this the right next chapter for Wonder Windows, Showers & Baths.”

“We built this business on relationships — with our customers, our crews, and the communities we serve,” says Michael D. Haymes, co-owner of Wonder Windows, Showers & Baths. “West Shore Home shares those values and brings the resources to take this team even further. That’s a combination we feel good about.”
