Woodcraft Industries’ Middlefield and Orwell, Ohio, Locations Earn Safety Awards

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation recognized Woodcraft Industries, a Quanex Building Products company, for its Middlefield and Orwell, Ohio, locations’ safety records.

In total, the locations and their employees earned four awards that were presented by the Geauga County Safety Council:

• Multi-Award―Consists of the 100 percent and achievement awards.
• 100% Award―Awarded for going an entire year without a workplace injury or illness resulting in a day away from work.
• Achievement Award―Awarded to each employer that decreases its incident rate by at least 25 percent from the previous year.
• Special Award―Awarded to employers that accumulate at least 500,000 hours and at least six months without a workplace injury or illness resulting in a day away from work.
