YKK AP Establishes Manufacturing Excellence Organization
YKK AP America Inc. announced the creation of its Manufacturing Excellence organization, along with leadership appointments across its commercial and residential manufacturing operations. The changes are designed to strengthen manufacturing performance, accountability and alignment as the business continues to grow.
Residential manufacturing appointment
To support its residential business, YKK AP has promoted Derek Bessenbacher to Residential Operations Manager. Bessenbacher will provide dedicated leadership and strengthen day-to-day execution in residential manufacturing.

Commercial manufacturing appointment
Daymon Loyd has been promoted to lead the Manufacturing Excellence organization, which brings together manufacturing quality, engineering and maintenance under one structure. The organization is designed to improve coordination, accelerate problem-solving and drive more consistent execution across commercial manufacturing operations.
In this role, Loyd will oversee key YKK AP manufacturing priorities including customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, quality, equipment reliability, process optimization and strategic oversight of the Dublin plant’s investment and modernization programs.
