CDC Releases Guidance on Vaccination Rollout

The Centers for Disease Control released guidance for federal, state and local governments regarding the vaccine implementation against COVID-19. The guidance is based on recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, an independent panel of medical and public health experts.

Guidance on the initial rollout, or Phase 1, is itself split into three consecutive phases, Phase 1a, 1b and 1c. Officials recommend that manufacturing workers be vaccinated as part of the second rollout, or Phase 1b, as frontline essential workers. Guidance recommends that housing construction workers be vaccinated as part of the third rollout, or Phase 1c.
