FGIA to Host Educational Sessions at GlassBuild

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance will host two educational sessions during GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo, covering topics like the current state of supply chains and field testing for commercial fenestration systems. FGIA staff will also be on hand at the Industry Pavilion, booth 27096, November 4-6 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Field Testing for Commercial Fenestration Systems

Once products have been installed, how can you confirm they are performing as intended? Blom will share insights from AAMA 503, Voluntary Specification for Field Testing of Newly Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls and Sloped Glazing Systems, which outlines test methods for evaluating the performance of newly installed storefronts, curtain walls and sloped glazing systems. These tests provide reasonable assurance that the installed product is performing to the required air leakage and/or water penetration performance levels.
